Michael B. Smith, Founder and Principal Architect

Smith LaRock Architecture believes that all projects benefit from a structured process involving the client, architect, builder and other specialists in collaboration, and that successful projects are made possible through the contributions of all involved.

SLA was formed in 2002 by Principal Architect Mike Smith with the goal of providing architectural solutions for the process control industry. We work closely with clients to meet the distinctive design requirements of command/control centers, blast resistant buildings, and operational facilities that must incorporate security, safety, situational awareness, and factors that optimize human performance on the job.

Smith LaRock has decades of experience working on complex projects ranging from command/control centers to office, industrial, laboratory, and technical buildings. We use a sophisticated approach to design and conceptualization using 3D modeling, and utilize our expertise to manage intricate requirements, procedures, and the design/build processes.
